Poster draft

This is a draft of how I want my poster to look like but there will be a few changes such as the will be a door visible and the lamp light will not be this bright it will be darker to give a dangerous affect to it. I have created this poster on a website called postermywall.com, this website has enabled me to create a poster, however I came across some difficulties such as not being able to make the dolly look 3D instead it was a 2D dolly.

Poster analysis

This is an analysis of a couple of horror posters which I have analysed. I have found that in most horror posters the use of dark colours are used often to symbolise death, danger and darkness. These posters has helped me to get an idea on how I want my poster to be, what fonts to use, what images to use and much more. In my poster I want to use dark colours to symbolise mystery and darkness which gives little indication about what the film is about giving it a sense of mystery luring the audience.

The two lullabies we have chosen for our animatic are the ones above. We have played around with the lullabies and chose to play them in specific areas such as when the dolly appears, in the beginning of the film etc... These music we have chosen are very good at creating suspense and it makes the audience feel on the tip of their seat creating anticipation.

The videos above are our audience feedback, we got these two girls to watch our animatic of the film and asked them what they thought. We also asked them questions about what they thought about our costumes, props, location etc...
The audience feedback we received was useful as they told us what they thought of the animatic and if it interests them into watching it.

animatic

Here is a short animatic that me and my partner Rupa did in Final Cut Pro. It is draft on how the film will look like when its recorded. The sounds we have added are the type of sounds we would use for the film as they complement each shot in the scene. I will shows this animatic to our target audience and get a second opinion on the whole thing and see if they suggest any improvements or suggestions.
